How to set up order ahead and click & collect for a local shop

Before your first order

• Pick your trade when you sign up and start from its starter menu
• Edit the items, prices and options: sizes, extras, or gift wrap, each with its own price
• Set your opening hours; outside them the storefront closes to new orders by itself
• Choose your pickup times: how long each window is, how many orders fit in one, and how far ahead customers can order
• Add a note on where to collect, and where to park if that helps

Getting the link in front of customers

• Print the QR poster for the door and the counter
• Put your link in your Instagram bio and on your Google profile
• Tell regulars at the counter; the ones who come often are the ones most likely to order ahead

Running the day

• Orders land on your order board as New, with the items, options and collection time the customer chose
• Move each order to Preparing and then Ready; the customer's phone tells them it is ready
• Print orders if your team works from paper
• Hand it over and take payment on the till you already use

When it gets busy

You can set a busy order limit. Once that many orders are on the go at once, customers see a note that you are busier than usual and a longer wait, and can still order. If you need to stop altogether, pause new orders and resume them when you are ready. You can also choose whether customers can order ahead for later while you are closed.

Bringing customers back
