A virtual queue replaces the bench and the clipboard. Customers join from your QR code or link, see their place on their phone and wait wherever they like. Your team sees the same queue on one board and calls the next customer in.
Setting it up
- Add your services with their prices and times
- Add your team; each person signs in with their own PIN
- Print the QR poster for the door and the counter, and share the join link on Instagram and Google
- Open the queue when you start trading
What customers see
- They enter their name and choose what they are there for; there is no app to download
- Their page shows their place, how many are ahead and an estimated wait, and updates as the queue moves
- If they allow browser notifications, their phone tells them when it is nearly their turn; if not, they get an email instead
Running the board
- Waiting, In progress and History, with how long each customer has waited
- Call next, then mark the visit done
- Add a walk-in who would rather not use their phone, the same as writing a name down
- If someone is not there when called, move them down the order rather than remove them, or remove them if they have gone
Keeping it fair
One board means one order. Everyone on your team sees the same queue, and customers can see their own place move, so nobody has to ask whether they have been skipped. Deciding what happens when someone misses their call stays with you; nothing is automatic.
When you close
When the queue is closed, new customers cannot join, but anyone already waiting can still open their page and see their place.
What it costs
The walk-in queue, the staff board and your QR poster are on the free plan, which covers one location. More than one shop? Extra locations are an add-on, priced on the pricing page, and each keeps its own queue and team under one login.
